Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
Support your lymphatic system health with a Manual Lymph Drainage session. MLD reduces swelling by clearing lymphatic vessels and redirecting lymphatic fluid around damaged or blocked areas. It is ideal for post-surgical patients who want to receive top notch care that supports the natural healing process. MLD is frequently recommended by plastic surgeons during the recovery phase following liposuction and other cosmetic surgeries. This specialized form of therapy is generally believed to decrease recovery time and improve results, by reducing post-surgical swelling and fibrosis (scar tissue formation). MLD is recommended after most orthopedic, cosmetic, and gender affirming surgeries.
MLD is proven to be helpful for:
Post-traumatic edema (sprains, whiplash, hematoma)
Post-surgical edema
Lymphedema
Pain Management
Lyme disease
Auto-immune disorders (fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma)
Tinnitus
Fibrocystic breast disease
Pregnancy edema
Inflammation
Because the lymphatic system is very delicate and requires specific knowledge of anatomy and the correct application of MLD principles, it is important to seek out a certified manual lymph drainage therapist or certified lymphedema therapist for MLD treatment. Kira and Callie are certified in the Vodder method through Klose training. Please call to schedule a series of treatments that follow your doctor’s recommendations.
