Callie Christopherson

Hello! My name is Callie and I love this work. Helping people feel more peaceful and comfortable in their bodies is my passion. I have a broad background in both comfort-oriented and clinical healing modalities. Before becoming a massage therapist, I taught yoga and meditation, trained as an EMT, and served the southern Utah community as a certified doula, childbirth educator, and midwifery assistant. My fascination with health and wellness spans decades and I consider myself a lifelong learner, always striving to increase my knowledge and skills so that I can better serve my clients. I believe that massage and bodywork make our lives better by decreasing pain and stress and increasing the mind/body connection. I founded Canyonland Healing Arts (formerly Canyonland Massage Therapy) in 2014 and have found a great sense of purpose and joy in this practice. I specialize in working with the subtle systems of the body which require a gentle and sensitive approach: the fascial system, the craniosacral system, and the lymphatic system. I believe that emotional and physical trauma are stored in the body and that bodywork, when provided by a compassionate, caring, and trauma-informed massage practitioner, can be a powerful tool on the path to healing. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family and dogs or curling up with a good book.

Client Testimonials

Callie is a serious, dedicated student of MFR and therapeutic bodywork. Plus, she’s one of the most open-hearted, intuitive people I’ve ever met. I had no idea that myofascial release was as powerful as it is, but I saw Callie before, during and after my dual knee replacements this year, and I am a firm believer! Everyone should experience her amazing, nurturing, healing touch.- Erika
Callie is a special therapist. I was hiking in Zion, Cedar Breaks and Escalante and she was my therapist for the two weeks I was there. She was marvelous and helped me have fantastic breakthroughs not only physically but mentally also. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences.- Dr. Doe Brownfield
Callie is very intuitive, and has magnetic hands which she uses to effectively ``pull`` out any pain. She has a very calm & healing energy to help you feel safe enough to release those stagnant energies.- Melissa
It truly was an absolutely heavenly experience! Miss Callie is very experienced and professional and has such a calming personality that it puts the highest strung person at peace. The atmosphere is truly beautiful and calming as well. Both thumbs way up!- Melitta
I am truly grateful I found Callie. I was new to myofascial treatment and she was knowledgeable and patient as she informed, educated and answered all my questions. She was an excellent listener and genuinely wanted to understand what I was experiencing so she could meet my needs. I have had only 2 sessions with her and have already felt a profound difference for the better. She does absolutely phenomenal work. Thank you, Callie.- Heather
